Miss Perdition Series: Number Four, Freebies.

So, after all of that you’re still strapped for cash… Well I have a few freebies for you.

First of all, always check the market place. In this case it was both in world and on the market place. Just search for Seldom Blue and you can get up to four free gowns if you track them down.

I will post two of them. This purple number is very classy.

And there is the lovely Isabella gown in black.

However lets say you hate all of the dresses I posted but still want a dress and only have limitied L’s? Go to Badoura Design. There have some Freebies on the marketplace… This is one of them.

There are some very reasonably priced things there. Check them out. Next post I promise I will move onto shoes.

Miss Perdition Series: Number Three, Sascha’s Designs

Okay I was forced to get a little lazy halfway through this post, but I was lagging terribly. So some of them are cute and artistic and others are not. Sorry!

Anyway, if there were any of you out there who did not like anything from the PR post, believe me I have more. A lot MORE!

The next place that is good to get gowns, is Sascha’s Designs.

There, she has a group you can join that will let you get any dress she’s made specially for that group for free. Even past years versions, going all the way back to 2008. She had quite a few there that were cute, but fair warning they come with the skirt attachment. Shrink your butt!

So go to Sascha’s! The group join is 50L, but the gowns are all you can grab after that. And they are truly gorgeous. I was mightily impressed.

The next one was one of my favorites. It pushes the boundary of edgy without really being too revealing. It’s called Phoenix Ressurection.

I know you can’t see the skirt so well, but it has two options. A floor lenth, and then with a train.

And my last one is Orchid. I think this one is my favorite.

Even if you aren’t buying dresses, you should visit the PR store on the marketplace. Everything is 25L, including mens stuff.

A Special Post: Miss Perdition 2012 Part 1: Phoenix Rising

This won’t be put into the forums, until the event is announced. However, I have done a post especially for Miss Perdition 2012. The contest is being held this year with new rules and such. any info you would like on the contest, please see Clio Clary and Veronique Voorhees.

It was well known that Last year I was a participant in the RP of Miss Perdition, as well as put together many of the events. The final contest was run by me as well. The number one biggest complaint last year, was the fact that the contestants were required to purchase gowns. There are some GORGEOUS gown makers out there, but when you get to it they can cost in upwards of 600-4000L a pop. Last year alone, I spent about $50 US dollars on dresses alone.

This year, I was determined not to let anyone have to spend that much. A lot of the dresses I paid 1-3KL for had that ghastly disapperaing texture issue because there was so many prims shoved in there they went invisible. As classy as the dress looks, add ten girls in there wearing similar gowns (and giant Princess gowns too) and suddenly you have disappearing textures due to lag. Its terrible looking.

But if you add all of it up, Dress, Hair, Nails, Jewlery, Shoes… Makeup? Skin?

You’re looking to spend anywhere between $20 us dollars and $50.

I have the nitty gritty on how to do it with minimal money. So pay close attention.

We’ll start with the Dresses.

The first place I went to look for dresses, is the Market Place. Even if you don’t like the design, if you see a dress that is $100L or under… Well shit son, go to the store because Chances are they have more!

And, in doing so one place you should check out immediately is Phoenix Rising. There is no in-world store any longer, and they have been ‘going out of business’ for over a year, so the lady who owns it could decide to come back at anytime and clean out her magic box… Or it could sit there for five more years. Who knows. One thing that is great about them.. Is that the dresses are excellent quality, stylish, comes in many styles and color Arrangements… And everything in the Store is 25L. Thats right. I bought every dress for less than I spent on a pair of good jeans. And some of them come with accessories included. I’ll put in links for any who like a dress and wish to see it. Before I do though, know that the hair, Necklaces and jewlery, makeup, will be mentioned but I won’t link until I do that particular post. It just helps me be more profficient.

This first Dress is called Darken Bliss by Phoenix Rising. Its got some gorgeous detailing.

This one is called Encounter and I have it on in red. Its very simple, gorgeous and flowey.

This one is Frilled. In White. It has a full bright skirt, but its mod so you can turn the full bright off. It looks better with it off.

Just so you know this dress also comes in cocktail length, ball gown, and a short set.

This one is Lelaini’s Legacy, and I got it in the royal Purple. Fair warning, this is a mermaid skirt, so for the love of all things holy make a duplicate of your shape and srhink your butt down. Sir Mix-a-lot may love girls with big butts, but in SL your thunder ass makes us LOL.

Okay, continueing with more skins that are free or almost free.

I’ll start with this little gem I found at Pure Juice, from the Apple May Designs. (PURE JUICE IS ENDING SOON! ON THE 26th! Lots of discoutned stuff in really good quality! Grab it!)

This Pure Juice Skin from AMD, its soooooo cute. It was 75L and is nearly without a hint of makeup. So go grab it up, because you can do sooo much with a makeup layer.

Tuli participated in the Timeless Treasures hunt with a version of their Zoe skin, in several options. If you have never been to Tuli, YOU SHOULD GO NOW. The skins are G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S. It comes with layers for different color brows. I do not think you could cover this with a makeup layer though, just FYI.

This one is another hunt gift from Pink Fuel. Its a version of their Elle skin with gorgeous little leopard spots on the eyes.

It is essential in SL to have a good skin. And, there are many very fine skin makers out there, you can get a bunch of free or almost free ones if you just know where to look.

Now, not to say that getting a skin from one of the top designers like Chaisuki, Bellezza, or Laqroki isn’t a good idea, but there are a lot of us who cannot afford between one and two thousand linden in a pop. So you gotta know where to go to find the deals. Also, a lot of skin designers put out specials or special edition hunt gifts. You can so totally make those skins work for you, especially if you have an RP character. In RP, you can utilize all the skins to your advantage.

We’ll start with some of the freebies.

Heartsick is a great place to get skins, and they are all reasonably priced. At normal price, a skin will cost you $350L a skin and more for the fat pack. But right now the are having a secret sale. 10L for skins, and also a fatpack of freebies. So I’ll show you a few of them.

The skins at heartsick come with several options including freckles, beauty marks and cleavage.

This first one is a 10L skin called Yume in Solstice.

Here’s a closeup of the face and makeup, and I must say what I love most about Heartsick is the luscious lips they have.

This next one was their St. Patty’s day gift. It has gorgeous makeup, but is on the pale side.

This one is called my heart, and I have it on in one of the tan shades called Bliss. With freckles.

Now all of these skins are 10L skins. Not free. And you do get more than just the shades I have shown you. In some of them. And these are not all the 10L skins either. There are a few more, and a few gothy ones. BUT THERE’s MORE!

There’s a freebie fatpack of serenity skins. In this fatpack, there are 8 boxes of fatpack skins. All former dollarbies. Get them!

I’d show you a few, but I have some other skins I want to show.

Glam Affair was offering a skin in their Group, which is 30L to join. But well worth it.

There is a Free Skin called Mary. All tone shades, All eyebrow Shades. With teeth options or not.

It has a rich green eyeshadow, and a full glossy lip.
